We are, once again, RoSPA winners!

We’re proud to share that our International team has achieved RoSPA recognition for five consecutive years, earning their first RoSPA Gold Medal Award.

McLaren Construction also won a Gold Medal Award in the Achievement Awards for an eighth consecutive year, showcasing our dedication to ensuring our staff, customers, clients, and contractors get home safely at the end of every working day.

Mark Stephen Hunt, Managing Director – International, said: “Achieving our first RoSPA Gold Medal is a proud moment for the international team. It reflects our shared commitment to safety and the consistent efforts of our people.”

Alan Blanchett, Group HSEA Director, said: “This is fantastic news and a proud moment for everyone at McLaren. Securing these awards is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our teams to uphold the highest standards of health and safety. It reflects not only our dedication to protecting our people but also how we live our values - collaboration, integrity, and excellence - every day. These achievements belongs to every colleague who champions safety in their work.”

Now in its 69th year, and with almost 2,000 entries annually from over 50 countries, covering over seven million employees, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Awards are the world’s largest health and safety awards programme, recognising those organisations and individuals who have set the highest standards in accident prevention.

Whether seeking non-competitive excellence recognition or entering for a competitive award across 20 industry sectors, each RoSPA Award entrant is assessed against rigorous criteria, making McLaren Construction a world leader in shaping safer, healthier workplaces.

In order to share important learning and build on the strong health and safety foundations required to enter the RoSPA Awards, the award entry process can be used as reflective practice to contribute to continuing professional development (CPD).

Julia Small, RoSPA’s Growth Director, said: “McLaren Construction should be proud of the hard work and commitment to keeping people safe that has resulted in a RoSPA Award, which honours those organisations who have achieved the highest standards in health and safety in the workplace.

RoSPA regards McLaren Construction as a strong example of the importance of making accident prevention central to any successful organisation, not just for the benefit of employees, customers and clients, but also society as a whole.”
